SIPCC Branch Tanzania

After the very sucessful International Seminar 2012 in Moshi, Tanzania, a group of SIPCC members sought to find ways of continuing and deepening the cooperation between SIPCC and Tanzania. The General Assembly of 2014, held in Mennorode, The Netherlands, voted unanimously in favour of their proposal to establish the what is now called ‘SIPCC Branch Tanzania’. Here are some points of the founding agreement:

  • The registered members of the SIPCC in Tanzania constitute the SIPCC Branch Tanzania.
  • The purpose of the SIPCC Branch Tanzania is to strengthen and deepen the networking between the members of SIPCC in Tanzania and the other SIPCC members worldwide.
  • The task of the SIPCC Branch Tanzania is to participate in the planning, organising and conducting a) Workshops in pastoral-psychological supervision, and b) Weeks of Care and Counselling in cooperation with SIPCC and the CPE Centre in Moshi.
  • The SIPCC Branch Tanzania’ executive committee is appointed by SIPCC’s EC and GA. It consists of a chair-person, a secretary, and a treasurer. The chair-person is a member of the SIPCC Executive Committee. He/she keeps contact and reports about the activities and developments in Tanzania. The secretary keeps notes during the meetings. The treasurer has the responsibility to collect the annual SIPCC fee from the members in Tanzania. This money will be used for the mentioned activities in Tanzania. The Branch treasurer reports to the SIPCC treasurer annually.
